Call for Papers

After two years of successful online events, we are delighted to be returning to Lancaster University for our first in person conference since the start of the pandemic.

The conference will take place from 6-8 July 2022.

The conference will be shorter than in pre-pandemic times and we are encouraging participants to attend the whole conference, with an option for hybrid participation for anyone who needs it. Our aim is to create an event that is as convivial and supportive as possible.

The conference is centred on our eight thematic strands, which range across time and space. It will also contain a roundtable on ‘Education, Training and Opportunity’, a keynote from Professor Amanda Vickery and workshops designed to forge links between early career and more established historians.

We warmly welcome proposals for individual papers and panels from new and established historians, working inside and outside Higher Education.

See the conference page for details.
