Keele University’s School of Humanities has generously provided two bursaries to support postgraduates presenting at the Social History Society conference on 11-13 June 208.
To be eligible for a bursary, you must:
- have submitted a proposal to present a paper or poster by the CFP deadline of 2 February, and have that proposal accepted
- be registered for a postgraduate degree at any university or a recently-completed (within three years) post-doc without institutional support
The paper or poster may be on any topic addressing one of the eight conference themes.
Each bursary will provide a contribution of up to £200 towards the costs of registration, travel and accommodation. Recipients will be expected to acknowledge the support of the bursary in any future publication based on the conference paper or poster.
To be considered for one of these bursaries please complete the application form before the deadline of noon on Friday 23 March 2018.
The ‘rationale of application’ should outline the basis for the application in no more than 500 words. For instance, if you intend to submit your paper for the postgraduate prize, if you have organised a panel, or there is a specific networking opportunity presented by this conference, then you should include this in your statement.
The applications will be judged by Ben Anderson, Rachel Bright and Lena Liapi and all applicants will be notified of the decision by Friday 6 April 2018.
