The West of England & South Wales Women’s History Network will host its 32nd Annual Conference between 9.15am and 5pm on Saturday 11 October 2025 at The Forum, University of Exeter, Stocker Road, Exeter EX4 4PY. Entitled Historical Perspectives on Women and Food, the conference features 6 panels in 3 parallel sessions as well as a keynote from Polly Russell (food historian and curator at the British Library) on ‘Material Matters, Narrative Strategies: Women, Food and History in Public Space’ and an introduction to material in Hypatia Collection relevant to the conference topic from the University of Exeter Library Special Collections team. There will be an opportunity to visit the library in the lunch break.
