BME Funding Results

We are delighted to announce the results of the latest round of the BME small grants funding scheme. This scheme is administered by SHS in partnership with the Economic History Society, History UK, History of Education Society (UK), History Workshop Journal, Royal Historical Society, Society for the Study of Labour History and Women’s History Network.

The judges selected eight projects for funding. These were:

1. Rachel Tough for ‘Curating memory: politics and the past in the An Viet archive’

2. Shahenda Suliman for ‘Sudan Prison Exhibition: Memories of Kober’

3. Michael Lord Five ASide Theatre CIC for ‘Dorothee in the 20th Century’

4. Hoyee Tse for ‘MIRPUR: A co-created VR experience’

5. Rebecca Eversley for ‘Historic Dock Project’

6. Kwaku for ‘Repairing Histories 1’

7. Jamie Banks and Jessica White for ‘History from the Attic’

8. Breanna McDaniel for ‘Vanguard Panel Sponsorship for Researchers Exploring Inclusive Youth Literature 2022’

We are delighted that this list includes a mixture of historians working inside and outside the university sector, including community groups alongside those with PhDs.
