We are delighted to announce that Dr Isabella Jackson has been newly appointed as one of the editors of our journal, Cultural & Social History.
Dr Jackson is a specialist in the modern history of China, with particular interests in histories of childhood, enslavement, colonialism, and global and regional networks. She is Assistant Professor in Chinese History at Trinity College Dublin. We’re delighted to have her on our editorial board, and for her varied expertise to enrich our journal’s work.
At the same time, this marks the upcoming departure of Professor Vandana Joshi as an editor at the journal. The Society and her fellow editors at the journal are hugely grateful to Professor Joshi for her service as an editor over the last eight years, including kindly agreeing to stay on beyond the conventional term to ensure a smooth transition. She has been invaluable to the continued broadening of the journal’s remit, encouraging many more submissions and published articles from outside Europe and North America. As a result of her efforts, we are more international in scope than we have ever been before.
